Wanted / Wanted: Turn signal (rear piece) in black
« on: July 21, 2011, 11:36:27 AM »
I'm replacing my chrome stock turn signals for black ones.

All I really need is the back piece (the piece that's chrome on my bike).

Anyone either have 2 black ones they'd like to sell, or swap (my chrome ones for your black ones)?

If so, send me an email at jrrrdex@msn.com

Thanks.

I know it's been a while since I've been here, but I was sure I had created an album when I initially joined.

However, I can't seem to find it, or anyone else's album for that matter.

Does the KEG not host member albums any more?

Victory Biker Bar / Some lighting questions
« on: April 22, 2008, 09:55:41 AM »
I'm looking at adding some driving lights in the front and changing my rear turn signals in the rear to have more lighting on the bike.  Here are my questions.

1.  Driving lights.  Looking at getting the Kuryakyn large silver bullets (http://www.kingpincruisers.net/index.php?option=com_store&manufacturer=1&item=KM-R1005) and am trying to figure out which ones to get (solid bolt or hollow bolt) and what I should use to mount them.  Since I will be replacing my stock mirrors with turn signal mirrors I was thinking of putting the new driving lights where the old turn signals were via clamps.  I like the new PIAA driving lights that mount on the forks, but would rather have them up higher near the headlight.  Which ones have many of you purchased and how have you mounted them?

2. Rear turn signals.  I want to change my stock rear turn signals from Amber to Red ones so I can use them with a run-turn-brake controller so to have more lighting in the back.  I've seen the Red LEDs from Signal Dynamics (http://www.kingpincruisers.net/index.php?option=com_store&manufacturer=1&item=02401K) and the Kuryakyn silver bullets (see above), which come with red lenses.  What are people's preferences?  One thing with the Kuryakyn's is they don't need a load equalizer since they are halogen and not LEDs, however, that's not that big of an issue.  And what have you used to mount them?  The Signal Dynamic LEDs come with a mounting bracket, while the Kuryakyns don't.

Thanks for any help.

Victory Biker Bar / Bassani or Supertrapp
« on: April 08, 2008, 06:35:52 PM »
I've got an '07 KP that I'd like to change my pipes.

I'm looking at a 2-into-1 type system and I've narrowed it down to the Bassani (long) and the Supertrapp 2:1 for Victory.

My question is which pipes do most feel are the better pipes, and why?

To add to the confusion, I've got an S&S air box and a PC III.

Victory Customization / Solo rack to fit behind my Mustang seat
« on: January 25, 2008, 12:54:01 PM »
I’m thinking this might need to be a custom job, but does anyone know of anyone that makes, or can make a solo rack to fit behind a Mustang driver’s seat.

I have an ’07 KP with the wide Mustang 2-piece touring seat with driver backrest.  I’d like to take the passenger seat off and ride with a solo seat and put a solo rack right behind the seat.  Unfortunately, the Victory solo rack doesn’t fit because the Mustang seat is about 1˝ inches longer in the back than the stock seat and doesn’t allow the mounting holes on the rack to line up with the holes on the fender/frame.

Anybody have any ideas on how to get something like this, or possible have someone make one?    :-\    :-\    :-\    :-\    :-\

Thanks.

Victory Biker Bar / Ness or SuperTrapp 2-into-1 exhaust?
« on: November 30, 2007, 07:57:00 PM »
I'm looking at getting a 2-into-1 exhaust system.  I know there's a few companies that make them, but 2 of them that I think look the best are Ness and SuperTrapp.

So my question is which pipes do you guys think is the better pipe for performance?

I just put a Power Commander on the bike and I have the Vic Shotgun pipes with the S&S air box.  Although the bike runs pretty good, the tuner said it would probably run better if I had a differnt set of pipes.  He recommended Vance & Hines, but they don't make any pipes for the '07 models; at least not that I know of.

So what say you guys?   :-\   :-\   :-\

Victory Biker Bar / Tell Victory, DIRECTLY, what you want
« on: November 20, 2007, 09:18:29 AM »
If you haven't been on the Victory web site lately, Victory has a "Rider Survey" under the News link asking everyone what type of accessories we would like Victory to make for us (http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/VRA/NewsEvents/PureSurvey.htm).  Here's a way to directly tell Victory exactly what you want.

I know a lot of us have posted these kinds of things on this and other forums hoping Victory would see our posts and take notice.  However, here's a way that you and I can talk to Victory directly.

Victory has opened the door for us.  Lets all take that step through before it closes.

GO! GO! GO!

I'm not upgrading from a standard headlight to an HID.  What I'm trying to do is change my current chrome headlight bucket, that has an HID in it, for the black bullet style bucket that I will be buying that has the standard headlight.  In other words, take the HID out of the chrome bucket and put it into the black bucket.

Since the black bucket has the standard headlight, it won't come with any replacement instructions.  Therefore, I'd like to see if anyone has done the standard to HID conversion and still has the instructions.

I've been told that all it takes is to open the bucket, take the guts out, replace it with the other guts, then close up.

Is it that simple?  I'd reallly like to see it in some instructions.  I've contacted Polaris and they're no help.  I thought they could send me a copy of the instructions.  Instead they told me to contact my dealer for all technical help.  All I want is a copy of the damn instructions.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

For Sale / Brackets for Victory leather saddlebags
« on: October 29, 2007, 08:27:45 PM »
Got a pair of black brackets used to mount the Victory leather saddlebags (part #2875347).  They came with the 6-month old '07 Kingpin that I just bought so they're practically brand new.

I have the brackets, NOT the bags.  Someone already bought the bags.

Brackets are Victory part # 2874860-067.

$139.99 in the catalog; asking $75.00. Will pay shipping.
