Bar replacement 07 Kingpin
« on: June 17, 2012, 10:46:29 PM »
I am replacing the bars on my 07 Kingpin and have to replace the sleeves through the top tripple tree but one is VERY stuck. Any suggestions on how to free that up. I putlock loosener and banged on it but it seemes solidly stuck. The one that did come out left pieces of the rubber behind so it was stuck too but did come out. Not the right side.
Any suggestions? Heat? I don't want to melt the rubber but...

OK turns out I just pounded them from the bottom up and them back down and they came out leaving a few chunks of rubber "welded" to the inside of the triple tree.

Done.
