Hey Guys and Gals,
I need some input on whatever info you have on batwing fairings. I've been looking at a bunch of them and they go in price with a stereo from 800 to 2000..
Wouldn't a laid fiberglass fairing hold up better then a abs plastic fairing?

Yes the prices vary that much...
Yes i do believe that a fiberglass "batwing" faring would hold up better than a plastic one.
That being said, I have a plastic faring from wide open custom plastics.
Why? because it is affordable and gives the bike the look i wanted.
How is that? Because the lines on the faring match the lines of the bike and the fit of the "new style" headlight.

I honestly have not seen another after market faring that fits the Victory like the one that Wide Open Custom Plastics makes!

What I would do different and I have said this in other post, I would get it without the stereo or speakers. I would even go as far as getting it without the holds for the stereo or speakers cut out. The 6 1/4" speakers kind of leaves you without many options. Smaller speakers (like 5") would give you more at speeds, and are available in many different styles. Face it.... 4, 6 1/2" speakers in the faring looks a little like a "ghetto" blaster of the 70's.
Next time I will use the 6" for the inside speakers and maybe a 4" or 5" flush mounts for the outer speakers.

Just my 2 cents

I have Wide Open Customs fairing, speaker cut outs are for 5 1/4" on all four, I would upgrade to the best sound sysyem I could afford. I have the stereo from WOC and upgraded speakers to Hog Tunes speakers, I can hear this at speeds in excess 80 MPH. I have had on this fairing bike for over 2 years with no problem, this is a durable material so I think it will last as long as any other material. Cost is away lower then any other fairing out there and yes it does look the best on a Victory, Fit and finish

How much, if you dont mind my asking, was it to have your fairing painted? My WOC fairing should show up here in about a week or so and Im trying to budget the paint job in along with the stereo and speakers.

Looking at the WOC fairing as well and was planning on adding the speakers and radio later.

I just got a Wide Open Custom fairing for my Pin.  I'm getting it pinstriped tomorrow, but so far I'm liking it.

A lot of people have given me a lot of compliments so far.  I'm going to need a little more time, and more highway miles to really compare the difference between this new fairing and my old windshield.  But for now, I'm really enjoying it.

I've been thinking about getting me the WOC fairing.  My only concern is the mounting brackets, it doesn't appear to be listed on the Polaris site anymore, just ones for the Vegas.  I don't know if the fork size is the same for the 2006 Kingpin and Vegas, and I don't think the quick detach brackets would work with the fairing.  Could anyone who has the fairing maybe put my mind at ease and let me know what brackets they used.  Thanks.

Thanks Eurp, that put my mind at ease.  Guess I'll be placing an order in the very near future.

The same goes with me.  It's been 2 months since I put the fairing on.  I used my old quick-release brackets and so far no problems.
