Thanks, thats explains why I couldn't find any info on it. Dealer had "Santa Carla" written on the bill of sale.

I got the bike today, everyone loves it. Now to take the tank off and clean the thrittle body.

That figures. Dealers never seem to know what the hell is going on...

According to Preston at the Santa Rosa V-twin, they have heat shields for the new generation of pipes not for the old ones.

They are great pipes though, but not for the faint hearted; they are VERY loud  :o. And Preston is a very good man to deal with.

you said that right jake. i have the srvt long shots on my 04 pin 110 stroker and she will blow windows out lol. for real, every body in my neighborhood says it sounds like a top fuel dragster. back in 05 the first set of long shots i received turned blue / gold quick. srvt took them back and made me a set out of stainless steel. they still  look just like the day i installed them in 05. but do to the high cost of stainless now they won't make none. at least as of last year they did not . but they were $900.00. but well worth every penny. i love them. alott hate them. but each to there own. peace . KD. ;)

Think outta the box....

I had Swain Tech in Upstate NY coat my pipes with the White Lightning Ceramic coating...   I painted it black with RattleCan High Temp black...   Then wrapped 'em with Therma Tech insulating wrap....

Last October, when the kid parked his Mom's Volvo on me and my Vic, the pipes were the contact point with the tarmac...   along with my right leg...LOL...   The pipes did significantly better then my Lee Jeans!   They're still on the bike ( the pipes!) with only a minor scratch to show for the trouble...

A quick word about Ceramic coatings...   not all are created equal....   most are simply a thin layer of ceramic dust in a paint or epoxy matrix....    The white Lightning EBC is applied about ten times thicker, and is applied in a molten state to the red-hot pipes....    this stuff is the shiznet!   and tough as nails to boot....   I'll try to post a link to the websight....   but it 'll be way quicker for you to google them!LOL

As for the loudness factor... here in MA we gotta have a baffle to get inspected....I ordered a set of Big City Thunder baffles....   they're literally the  greatest things since sliced bread!
Ride fast...   Aim for the big ones!
